Font: Balcanica (Modern Sans-serif Cyrillic)

"Balcanica" is a Cyrillic font available for OS X and Windows. It has a decidedly modern look especially popular in Bulgaria, and now also in Russia.

While the uppercase charactes are comparable to other sans-serif Cyrillic fonts (like our Ladoga Pro), the lowercase characters feature a different design. Some design elements stem from Latin fonts (see the ascender of the "k"), some characters use the "italic" forms (like g,d, p, t).

Slavic Languages: Russian, Ukrainian, Byelorussian (White Russian), Serbian, Bulgarian, Macedonian (for all languages: contemporary orthography).

Encoding: Unicode. One font file supports both OS X and Windows! OpenType PostScript and TrueType.

Bonus feature: Latin characters included for Western and Eastern Europe, incl. transliteration of Cyrillic.

Price category / Preiskategorie: A (single weights) or C (all four weights)
